Mr Jimmy Mamoneke Makwela is the founding member of Treasure Pelo Industries, and one of the executive directors of the company. He is an experienced Project Manager and Control Systems Engineer with over 20 years of experience in industries such as Process Automation, Mining, Oil & Gas and Rail (R&D).

He graduated from Tshwane University of Technology in Electrical Engineering and from The University of Cape Town in Business Project Management.

He is presently a Value Lead for Performance Design. He has extensive experience in infrastructural projects, Mining and Building construction. In addition to his general corporate experience, his vast and rich experience, consistent with organisation strategy will provide operational excellence to the SR Construction and a capability to drive innovation.

As an engineer, he has fulfilled various roles and functions such as Senior Technical Support Engineer; Project Engineer; Software Automation Engineer and Lead Projects & Commissioning Engineer.

He strategically progressed into a Project Management role as a stepping stone towards management and leadership position at C-suite.

As a Project Manager, he has a proven track record of successfully completed projects, executing and leading multiple projects in a program, some of which are NEC and FIDIC based type of contracts, based on PMI’s PMBOK guide, techniques, tools and processes.

He spent the early years of his career specializing in SCADA Engineering; as a result, became an expert in the Adroit SCADA system and was the first person to be certified as an Adroit SCADA engineer globally. He then moved to Hatch where he gained a lot of international experience in plant commissioning; systems automation and plant operational support from countries like DRC; Chile; Madagascar. He then joined Systems Anywhere where he was commissioning at Great Basin Gold mine, after that project, he joined Schneider Electric where he was lead engineer on several projects including the SKA (Square Kilometre Array) project in the Northern Cape and the Cut 8 project in Debswana Jwaneng Botswana.

As a Senior Project, Program and Portfolio Manager he developed strong competences in agility during project execution to align strategic project management values to organizational strategy, project leadership, project management hard and soft skills, conflict resolution, risk management, contract negotiation, and management before and during project lifecycle, stakeholder engagement, and management at all levels, management of EPC and EPCM projects, management of Budget, cost control and earned value management, best practices in planning and scheduling using MSP & Primavera software.
